APRIL 12 - The Windermere Prep Varsity Softball Team defeated The Geneva School 12–3 to claim the SSAA Tournament championship over the weekend.
Led by dominant pitching and timely hitting, the Lakers controlled the game from start to finish. Junior Vanessa Nawracaj was sensational in the circle, throwing a complete game with 14 strikeouts while allowing just four hits and one earned run across seven innings.
Offensively, freshman Cierra Walker sparked the lineup with a monster day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBIs, two runs scored, and a clutch home run. Junior Carsha Campbell was equally impressive with three hits and two RBIs, while also swiping two bases to keep pressure on the Geneva defense.
Eighth grader Kylie Konstand added key production, scoring three runs and collecting a triple going 1-for-3.
Congratulations to the Windermere Prep Softball Team—2025 SSAA Tournament Champions!
