Wallace Shuts Out West Orange, WPS Lakers Softball Takes The Win

Gracie Wallace didn't allow a single run as the softball team defeated West Orange 7-0 on Friday.

The Lakers secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning as the bats came alive with Madison Workman, Piper Hofmann, Ariana Lara, and Mia Williams, all driving in runs in the frame. The offense in the inning came from a triple by Williams, a single by Workman, a groundout by Lara, and an error on a ball put in play by Hofmann.

Wallace pitched the Lakers to victory as the junior allowed two hits, while striking out 11.

Meredith Workman led the team with two hits in three at bats.
