Wadsworth Sets School Record

SEPTEMBER 26 - Sophia Wadsworth has etched her name into the Windermere Prep volleyball record book, establishing a new single-season school record for digs during the 2026 season.
Wadsworth has recorded 305 digs through 16 matches, surpassing the previous record of 254 digs set by Julia Kane during the 2021 season. With the 2026 season still underway, Wadsworth has already moved 51 digs beyond the previous mark with several matches remaining on the Lakers' schedule.

Through 57 sets this fall, Wadsworth is averaging an impressive 5.4 digs per set and has reached double figures in digs in 14 of the Lakers' 16 matches.

She began the season with one of her best performances of the year, collecting 33 digs in a five-set victory over Geneva. Wadsworth has continued to anchor the Lakers' back-row defense throughout the season, adding 31 digs against Trinity Prep, 26 against Real Life Christian Academy and 25 against Edgewater.

Her consistency has been a major part of the record-setting season. Wadsworth has recorded at least 20 digs in eight matches, including three separate 21-dig performances against Lyman, Foundation Academy and Aubrey Rogers.

With plenty of volleyball still to be played, every dig from this point forward will add to a new benchmark in the WPS record book.
