AUGUST 26 - The Windermere Prep Girls' Volleyball team will look to continue its strong start to the 2026 season Wednesday night when the Lakers hit the road to face Lyman High School at 6 p.m.

The Lakers will take the court against Lyman with a 2-0 record, a start the program has not had since 2018. Windermere Prep opened the season with a 3-2 win over Geneva and later defeated The Master's Academy 3-1 in its second game.

Against Geneva on Aug. 18, the Lakers recorded 112 digs as a team, a new school record. Sophia Wadsworth led the team with 33 digs.

The Lakers also lead in several key statistical categories this season. Windermere Prep has recorded 81 kills compared to Lyman's 40, while also leading in assists with 80 to Lyman's 40.

Defensively, Windermere Prep has totaled 189 digs, whereas Lyman has 94. The Lakers have also recorded 166 receptions compared to Lyman's 76. Lyman has the edge in total blocks, 14-4, and serving aces, 15-27.

Lyman will enter the matchup with a 1-2 record, giving Windermere Prep an opportunity to remain undefeated early in the season. Lyman fell to Lake Brantley and Wekiva while earning a win over Lake Mary.

Windermere Prep will aim to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2018 and continue its strong start to the season against Lyman.
