Lakers Advance to the Regional Final

MAY 11 - Gracie Wallace had all the right stuff on Tuesday for the Windermere Prep softball team as the junior allowed two hits and zero runs while striking out ten as the Lakers defeated Taylor (Pierson) 5-0 in the FHSAA Regional Semifinals.

The Lakers got things started in the second inning when Wallace singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Windermere Prep collected 11 hits on the day as Mia Williams, Emma Turiano, and Ariana Lara all had multiple hits as the Lakers advanced to the FHSAA Regional Finals for the first time in program history. Williams led Windermere Prep with three hits in four at bats. Zoie Pistel and Sophie Shaik each had an RBI in the win.

Windermere Prep will now travel to The First Academy on Friday at 6:00 pm in the FHSAA Regional Finals.
