WINDERMERE, FL - Zane Fullmer posted his first 300 yard passing game of the season, but the Lakers lost to Lake Highland Prep, 37-22.

Late in the first quarter, the Lakers got on the board as Fullmer connected with Mason Williams for a 50-yard touchdown pass. Oliver Cowin added the first two extra points on the day to give WPS a 7-0 lead. Late in the first half, the Highlanders took an 8-7 lead following a six-yard touchdown run. On the ensuing drive, Lake Highland Prep scooped up a Lakers fumble and returned it for a 30-yard touchdown.

The Highlanders built on their 16-7 half time lead with a six-play, 88-yard drive to take a 24-7 lead. The Lakers responded as Fullmer found Jacob Lowe in the back of the end zone for a two-yard touchdown pass. Lake Highland Prep scored two touchdowns on their next two drives to take a commanding, 37-14 lead over the Lakers. Fullmer connected on his third touchdown pass of the afternoon, this time finding Rafael Betancourt on a 29-yard score to set the final at 37-22

Fullmer completed 22 of 31 passes for 305 yards and three touchdowns as the Lakers fell to 1-2 on the season. Williams led the Lakers with 137 yards receiving and Betancourt added 111 receiving yards. Lowe and Johnny Geller led the team with 13 and 11 tackles respectively.
