Donovan Cleffi Named Head Boys’ Lacrosse Coach

OCTOBER 1 - We are excited to announce the hiring of Donovan Cleffi as the new Head Coach of the Boys' Lacrosse program.

Cleffi brings an extensive playing background and a strong record of leadership in the sport to Windermere Prep. He was a four-year member of the High Point University Club Lacrosse Team, serving as team captain for three seasons. Prior to attending High Point, Cleffi played both high school and club lacrosse in New Jersey, giving him experience with the sport at multiple levels.

A graduate of High Point University, Cleffi earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management in 2023 before completing a Master of Arts in Communications and Business Leadership in 2024.

Cleffi is already a familiar face within Windermere Prep Athletics, currently serving as an intern with the WPS Strength & Conditioning program. That experience has provided him an opportunity to work directly with Lakers student-athletes while becoming familiar with the school's athletic program, facilities, and commitment to student-athlete development.

"We are excited to give Coach Cleffi the opportunity to lead and build our boys' lacrosse program," said Director of Athletics Patrick Hollern. "His experience as a player and captain, combined with the relationships he is already developing with our student-athletes through our Strength & Conditioning program, makes him a great fit for what we are looking to accomplish. We want to continue growing participation in boys' lacrosse while developing a strong team culture, and we believe Donovan has the energy and leadership to move the program forward."
