Devin Bennett - Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach
Devin Bennett is a native of Saratoga Springs, NY, where he attended Ballston Spa High School. He ran four years of cross country and track and field, setting multiple school records and placing 5th at the 2010 New York Indoor Track and Field Championship. As an undergraduate, Devin ran Division I cross country at Siena College and continued on to Division II athletics at Southern New Hampshire University, where he also completed his graduate studies.
Prior to joining Windermere Prep, Devin began his coaching career at John Stark Regional High School (NH), where he coached four track and field school record holders, three of whom were top 6 finishers at the NH State Championship.
As an assistant cross country coach, Devin helped to guide the Lakers to win the District 1A Championships 2017 and 2018. Devin was promoted to head coach of the cross country team prior to the start of the 2019 season.
Devin was named the head track and field coach at WPS in 2018. He helped guide Roberto Salamo ‘18 to a 6th place performance in the 400m dash at the FHSAA State Championships. The following year, the WPS boys’ 4x400m relay team grabbed fourth place and a school record. In addition to his WPS coaching positions, he also teaches IB French.
