AUGUST 28 - The Windermere Prep Boys' Golf team opened the 2026 season on Thursday, August 27, battling The First Academy to a 150-150 tie at Orange Tree Golf Club. Junior Chase Bauer led the way for the Lakers, firing an impressive 2-under-par 34 to post the lowest round of the match.

Windermere Prep showcased its depth behind Bauer, with junior Giancarlo Aguirre carding a 38 (+2), while junior Xingrun Piao and sophomore Aiden Som each finished with rounds of 39 (+3). Those four scores combined for the Lakers' team total of 150. Junior Zexi Xue added a 40 (+4), while freshman Dekker Junge made his varsity debut with a 43 (+7).

The First Academy matched the Lakers at 150, led by Tyler Creavy's 35 (-1) and Logan Foxx's even-par 36.
