OCTOBER 2 - The Windermere Prep football team improved to 4-2 on the season with a hard-fought 7-6 victory over The Geneva School. The Lakers struck first, taking a 7-0 lead into halftime, and the defense rose to the challenge in the second half, holding strong to secure the narrow win.
The game marked one of the lowest-scoring contests in program history. The only game with fewer total points came in 2011, when the Lakers fell to Lake Mary Prep, 6-0.
Windermere Prep now turns its attention to Friday, October 17, when the Lakers host Bronson High School for a special night featuring both Senior Night and Homecoming. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
