James Hamilton Promoted to Head Football Coach

APRIL 11 - We are thrilled to announce the appointment of James Hamilton as the new Head Football Coach at Windermere Prep. With a dynamic combination of athletic excellence, academic achievement, and coaching experience, Coach Hamilton joins our football program following three successful seasons as the Lakers' offensive and defensive line coach.

A graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Health Science, Coach Hamilton was a standout player for the Bulls Football Team from 2012 to 2015. During his time at USF, he not only excelled on the field but also showcased exceptional leadership and dedication as a full-time student-athlete, earning a full athletic scholarship.

Transitioning seamlessly from player to mentor, Coach Hamilton honed his coaching skills through various roles, beginning as a Defensive Line Coach at Colonial High School in Orlando, FL. There, he imparted vital techniques to his players while emphasizing the importance of academic success alongside athletic prowess. Following his tenure at Colonial HS, Hamilton continued to make an impact at Olympia HS in the same capacity.

Currently, Coach Hamilton serves as a lower school PE teacher at Windermere Prep and also holds the position of Head Softball Coach, further showcasing his versatility and dedication to our athletic community.
