Soccer Teams Prepare for Regional Playoffs

FEBRUARY 3 - The boys' and girls' soccer teams begin the FHSAA Class 3A Regional Playoffs on Tuesday, February 6.

The boys (13-3-1) enter the Regional Quarterfinals as the #4 seed and host #5 Berkeley Prep (6-6-4) at 3:30 pm at Lakers Field. The winner of the quarterfinals play the winner of #1 Tampa Prep and #8 Frostproof. The boys are 6-6 overall in the Regional Playoffs in school history. Junior, Angelo Arrivillaga leads the Lakers with 32 points and 13 goals. Sophomore, Nicolas Parra is second on the team with 30 points and 11 goals.

The girls (7-6-2) enter the Regional Tournament as the #6 seed and will travel to #3 Berkeley Prep (14-4-0) at 6:00 pm. The winner of the quarterfinals play the winner of #2 Bishop Verot and #7 Oasis. The Lakers are 1-4 overall in the Regional Playoffs in school history. Sophomore, Alyssa Parsons leads the Lakers with 83 points and 39 goals on the season. Senior, Camila Barni is second on the team with 21 points and 4 goals scored.

The cost of admission is $9.00 per person.
