DECEMBER 21 - Former Lakers soccer great Gunnar Studenhofft was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the third round with the second pick in the MLS Super Draft. As a Laker, Studenhofft is the school's all-time leader with 32 goals scored in the 2018-19 season. In his career at Windermere Prep, Studenhofft scored 62 goals which is second all-time in school history. Following his Laker career Studenhofft attended Manhattan College where he scored seven goals and delivered two assists in 2023 for the Jaspers. At the international youth level, he represented the Cayman Islands across various age categories—U-20, U-17, and U-15. Notably in 2022, Studenhofft excelled as the top scorer for Cedar Stars FC in the United Premier Soccer League.
