DECEMBER 6 - On Wednesday afternoon, the girls' weightlifting program will celebrate the accomplishments and commitment of the senior members of the team prior to their meet with Lake Mary Prep. The senior members of the team are:
Isabela Yumi Carvalho Akabane
Next fall, Yumi plans on studying Business Information Technology with a minor in Finance and Banking at Case Western Reserve University. Yumi has been on the varsity weightlifting team for 2 years and her favorite WPS memory is winning the district championships with the team. Congratulations Yumi!
Priyana Bhatta
Next fall, Priyana plans on studying biology. Priyana has been on the varsity weightlifting team for 4 years and her favorite WPS memory is homecoming. Congratulations Priyana!
Kirah Bolanovich
Next fall, Kirah plans to study international business and play beach volleyball at the College of Charleston. Kirah has been on varsity for 4 seasons and her favorite weightlifting memory is qualifying for the state championships her junior year! Congratulations Kirah!
Theresa Dowling
Next fall, Tess plans on studying math and health sciences. Tess has been on the varsity weightlifting team for 4 and her favorite WPS memory is laughing in Latin Class with Dr. Fields. Congratulations Tess!
Salma Farid
Next Fall, Salma plans on studying Business and Marketing. Salma has been on the varsity Weightlifting team for 4 seasons and her favorite WPS memory is winning 2022 districts as a team, as well as placing first individually for her weight class. Congratulations, Salma!
Kamden Feth
Next fall, Kamden plans on studying dance education. This is Kamden's first year on the varsity weightlifting team and her favorite WPS memory is getting to go to Tanzania. Congratulations, Kamden!
Samantha Gerena
Next fall, Sam plans on studying kinesiology and exercise science. Sam has been on the varsity weightlifting team for 4 years and her favorite WPS memory is when the girls weightlifting team became the first ever WPS team to win the citrus league during her sophomore year. Congratulations, Sam!
Natalia Gonzalez Matabuena
