Soccer Teams Advance to District Finals

Both the boys' and girls' soccer teams will take on Lakeland Christian in the District Championship on Tuesday, February 9 at Lakeland Christian. The girls' team (10-2-0) advanced to the finals by defeating Frostproof last Thursday, 7-0. Camila Barni and Brielyn Knowles each scored 3 goals and Elena Allwood added another goal. Courtney Mogauro led the team with 5 assist, Isabel Teixeira had 1 assist. The boys' team (10-1-1) defeated Frostproof the following night by a score of 4-2. Vishan Patton led the Lakers with 2 goals. Parker Davis and Patricio Font each netted another.

The girls' game is set to begin at 5pm with the boys' game to follow.

Both teams will advance to the FHSAA Regional Quarterfinals with the girls' tournament set to begin on Tuesday, February 16 and the boys' tournament set to begin on Wednesday, February 17.
