Kyle Goller - Assistant Swimming Coach
Coach Goller graduated from Thomas University May 2016 with a BS in Business Management and minor in Sports Studies along with a Florida State University Masters Coaching Certificate. He holds Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificates in Coaching and in Business Education. Kyle also serves on the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Coaches Advisory Committee. He swam on the Thomas University team for two years and also on the Florida Southern College Mens’ Swim Team (One of the top Division 2 Programs in the country). At Florida Southern, Kyle was on the Sunshine State Conference Team that placed 2nd and also placed 2nd at the 2012 DII NCAA National Championship meet. At Thomas, Kyle and his four teammates came in tenth in NAIA Mens’ National Championship Meet. Swimming on the Varsity Team at Maclay School for seven years. He was Captain for three years, first-team All-Big Bend for three years, and competed at the FHSAA Class 1A State meet for three years. He was also one of the top long course breastrokers in the state of Florida prior to graduating high school. Kyle has been a member of teams in Ft. Lewis, WA, Swim Atlanta, SCAT, and ATAC. Kyle has been a coach for ATAC High School Group since 2014, Assistant Coach for Chiles High School for two years, and served as the Head Coach at Lincoln High School for two years.
During his time at Chiles, the Girls Team won two out of its 5 straight Class 3A State titles along with the boys finishing top 5 both years. His first year as the Lincoln Head Coach, the Girls Team won the District Meet for the first time in school history and the placed 19th out of 52 teams at the State Meet(5 swimmers) and Mens’ 12th with 4 swimmers. His second year at Lincoln the boys team placed 11th at State while the girls team placed 19th. Coach Goller is a member of USA Swimming, American Swim Coaches Association, National Federal of High School Sports, International Swim Coaches Association, NISCA, College Swim Coaches Association of America, and is also ASCA Level 3 certified.
Outside of swimming, Kyle has earned the rank of Eagle Scout when he was a sophomore in high school, was first chair trumpet in band for 5 years, and is a sports enthusiast. Parents are Colonel(RT) George and Linda Goller who reside in Tallahassee, FL along with his golden retriever Ranger.
