WINDERMERE PREP LAKERS ATHLETICS

Jacob Doss graduated in 2003 from Lexington Catholic High School in Lexington, KY. As an outstanding high school quarterback, Jacob led Lexington Catholic to a 38-5 record during his three seasons as a starter and carried the team to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs his senior season. Over the course of his high school career, Doss was named to the Commonwealth of Kentucky Elite 22 his senior year, earned All State honors from the Louisville Courier Journal, was a finalist for the "Mr. Football" award in the state of Kentucky, and was named District Player of the Year.

Following his illustrious high school career, Jacob earned a scholarship from the University of Wyoming where he was a two-time Academic All-Conference player and lettered in three of his four seasons. He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2008.

Utilizing his knowledge and expertise of the game, Coach Doss founded the Windermere Prep Football Program in 2009. During his 10 years on the sidelines, the Lakers have compiled a 79-30 record. In 2014, Coach Doss led the Lakers to perfect 10-0 season en route to a Sunshine State Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championship. Jacob has been named the SSAC Coach of the Year three times and the FACA Coach of Year.

Jacob currently serves as the Director of Athletic Development in addition to his role as the head football coach. Jake and his wife, Jessica, along with their son, Jackson, reside in Winter Garden.
