Coach Jukes' coaching journey includes remarkable achievements and a strong track record of success. Prior to joining Lakers Aquatics, he served as the Head Age Group Coach for the esteemed SouthWest STARS swim team in Winter Garden, Florida, where he played a vital role in developing young talent. Coach Jukes held the position of Head Coach and Aquatics Director of the CRCY Barracudas Swim Team in Centralia, Illinois, for an impressive ten years. His dedication and commitment to the sport are further evident as he continues to contribute to the swimming community through coaching for Peak Performance Swim Camps across the United States and around the world.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Jukes has nurtured swimmers who have achieved extraordinary milestones. His expertise has led athletes to qualify for prestigious events including the USA Senior National, USA Junior National, Southern Sectional, Region VIII Sectional, Central Zone Championship, Florida Age Group Championship, Ozark Championship, IHSA State Championship, YMCA Nationals, and YMCA State. Notably, he has coached four swimmers in the USA Top 100 Times, guided one Central Zone Champion, three Florida Age Group Champions, five Ozark Age Group Champions, and an IHSA All American. Furthermore, Coach Larry has been instrumental in producing seven YMCA National Top Ten Times and over 20 YMCA State Champions. His coaching prowess even extended to international success, with one of his team members achieving international recognition by qualifying for the 2012 World Swimming Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, and earning multiple gold medals at the Central American Games.

Coach Jukes' own swimming accomplishments reflect his passion and dedication to the sport. As a swimmer, he earned an impressive Top 16 ranking in the 100-yard freestyle at the age of 14. He continued his swimming career at Vincennes University, where he reached the finals of the NJCAA National Swimming Championships. Later, he served as the captain of the swim team at the University of Evansville, showcasing his leadership skills both in and out of the water. Alongside his athletic pursuits, Coach Jukes obtained an accounting degree and a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
