Eight Girls' Weightlifters Advance to the State Championship

FEBRUARY 1 - The Girls' Weightlifting Team advanced, a school record, eight members of team to the FHSAA Class 1A State Weightlifting Championships. Cati Camilli, Carissa Ruiz, Alexis Beaulieu and Sidney Provencher all placed second in their respective weight classes at last Friday's Regional Finals. In addition, Daniela Delgado, Danielle Work, Liza Thompson and Sam Gerena all placed and qualified for the State Championship. As a team, the Lakers placed 3rd overall in the regional meet.

In order to qualify for the State Championship a participant must have one of the top 20 lifts in the entire state. The girls will compete in the State Championship on Saturday February 12th at Port St. Joe High School.

Admission: $9.00 per session if purchased in advance via GoFan, $12.00 day of
Parking: $10.00 (all proceeds retained by host organization)
