Lakers Travel to The First Academy

SEPTEMBER 2 - The Windermere Prep football team will travel to The First Academy on Friday, September 3 to take on the Royals. Both teams enter the game 1-0 on the season. The Lakers defeated Orangewood Christian, 20-7 in week 1 and the Royals defeated West Oaks, 42-12. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at Warden Stadium.

GAME DAY QUICK HITS:

The First Academy leads the overall series, 3-0.
The Royals defeated Windermere Prep twice in 2020, 56-22 and 56-28.
With their opening season win, the Lakers improved to 6-6 in season openers.
In their win over Orangewood Christian, the Lakers were out-gained 369-306 in total yards.
WPS forced three turnovers against the Rams.
The Rams and the Lakers combined for 25 penalties for 198 yards.
Senior QB, Zane Fullmer completed 16 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior WR, Sai Srinivasan led the Lakers with six receptions.
Junior LB, Jackson Bennett led the WPS with 11 total tackles.
Sophomore, Khamari James recovered two Rams fumbles in the win.

PARKING INFORMATION:

WPS fans will park outside the complex near the Upper School building. OPD will be out front to direct to the lot. Overflow parking will be moved near the tennis courts.
